“West Virginia needs leaders who understand the challenges small businesses face. I am willing to work with anyone who wants to move our state and community forward in a positive direction. Our leaders should work as hard as our people do. In doing so, we can build a stronger West Virginia together."

Michael Jarrouj is a lifelong entrepreneur, community leader, and family man who is running for West Virginia State Senate to bring real-world experience and practical leadership to Charleston and the surrounding communities. As a small business owner, Michael understands firsthand the challenges working families and local businesses face every day — and he believes our state deserves leaders who are willing to work just as hard as the people they represent.
Since 2015, Michael has been the owner of The Olive Tree, a locally owned restaurant in South Charleston that has grown into a trusted community staple. His commitment to West Virginia’s economy is rooted in action, not politics. In addition to operating multiple small businesses in the state over the years, Michael recently expanded The Olive Tree with a new location at Shawnee Sports Complex, continuing to create jobs and invest locally.
Michael’s dedication to service extends far beyond his business. He served as Parish Council President at St. George Cathedral, sits on the board of Heart and Hand, and is an active supporter of the Light Opera Guild. These roles reflect his deep commitment to faith, service, and strengthening the cultural fabric of the community he calls home.
Family is at the heart of everything Michael does. He and his wife, Kim, have been married for 25 years and are proud parents of four children. Like many families across Kanawha County, they care deeply about creating a future where the next generation has real reasons to stay, work, and thrive in West Virginia.

As a candidate for State Senate, Michael is focused on common-sense priorities that matter to everyday West Virginians: growing jobs, strengthening the economy, cutting taxes to make life more affordable, and investing in infrastructure to support safer, better roads. He believes collaboration — not division — is how meaningful progress is made, and he is committed to working with anyone who wants to move West Virginia forward.
Michael Jarrouj is running for office to be a voice for working families, small businesses, and communities that deserve leadership grounded in experience, service, and integrity.
